Men's Size Fingerless Mittens

I've been knitting these for myself since 2009.  I wanted to share the love with my boyfriend whose shoe size is eight sizes bigger than mine. I've perfected the pattern, and here it is.

This pattern is knitted in the round.

Men's Size Fingerless Mittens

needles: size 8 double-pointed
yarn: 4 weight (I adore Homespun by Lion Brand.)

Cast-on: using long-tail style, 8 loops on each of 3 needles
Rounds 1-7: K (Knit)
Round 8: K1, (place marker), M1 (Make one), K1 (place marker), KtE (Knit to end)
Round 9: K (there are 3 loops between the markers)
Round 10: K1, M1, K1, M1, KtE
Round 11: K (5 loops b/t markers)
Round 12: K1, M1, K3, M1, KtE
Round 13: K (7 loops b/t markers)
Round 14: K1, M1, K5, M1, KtE
Round 15: K (9 loops b/t markers)
Round 16: K1, M1, K7, M1, KtE
Round 17: K (11 loops b/t markers)
Round 18: K1, M1, K9, M1, KtE
Round 19: K (13 loops b/t markers)
Round 20: K1, M1, K11, M1, KtE
Round 21: K (15 loops b/t markers)
Round 22: K
Round 23: K2, cast-off 13, KtE
Rounds 24-30: K
Round 31: Cast-off all stitches (giving plenty of slack, so the opening is comfortable)

This pattern works for both hands; it's ambidextrous!!

Enjoy!!
